Abracadabra: On the Magic of Words

Abracadabra: On the Magic of Words explores an ancient idea: words do not simply describe reality – they can help shape it. Beginning with Jewish traditions of creation through speech and bringing them into conversation with poetry and Buddhist thought, the workshop asks what happens when we give words to experiences that have remained unnamed.

Together, participants will explore the power of naming and put it into practice: choosing something personal or collective – a grief, a transition, a change or a hope – and finding a word for it. What shifts when we name what is happening to us – and begin to shape what might come next?

After the workshop, there’ll be time to connect and hang out over warm soup and drinks.

This workshop will be held in English. There is no translation available.
